Date Day: NYC Style

Beautiful Bryant Park

A little piece of heaven in the middle of the concrete jungle! Serene park, tranquil cafes and restaurants surrounded by beautiful skyscrapers. Not only is it gorgeous, but it host tons of events year round. Everything from yoga and fencing, to the HBO film festival and Broadway.  Some of the eateries include the Bryant Park Grill and the Bryant Park Café.  While the grill seems to be a little more formal, the café boast a casual menu and bar. "The outdoor café is a well known after work hot spot during the summer, and is open from Mid-April to November depending on the weather."

Cocktails

We decided to take the train into the City for a change! As soon as we exited we spotted Local, so we grabbed a few libations and discussed our next move! Local is favored for being a great happy hour spot. Budget friendly, premium drinks at happy hour prices who could complain?! In addition to the interior restaurant and roof-top bar, they have a a beer garden that has a dope view and vibe. This spot is right next to Madison Square Garden and across from Penn Station.. What a great local...!

Chelsea, Meatpacking District & Dinner
Later on that evening, we hopped a cab to the Meatpacking District. As always I love the vibe of this area, trendy shops, exclusive clubs and plenty of places to eat. After walking a bit we stopped at a local watering hole (Mckenna's Pub) for some homemade Sangria. After leaving we sat outside to take in the sights, then we headed to Bill's Bar& Burgers and sipped on a few brews and devoured some delicious burgers. Before heading back to Penn Station we took a stroll through Chelsea Market. This was the first time either of us had been here. Some of the stores were closed, but I saw enough to know that I would love to come back at a later date. The Markets is filled with retail shops and restaurants and provide culture tours, wine tasting, gourmet cooking classes, and sample sales just to name a few.

**shoutout to my co-photographer Mr. Gill!
